Overview |
This is an HTML frameset that can be "wrapped" around a SCO to monitor and log SCORM API calls from the SCO. You do not need a LMS to use this wrapper. You can also launch it directly in a browser window and just type in the URL of the SCO you want to test. That URL should be "local" to avoid cross-domain security blocks. The wrapper is itself a SCO, so if you "wrap" it around the SCO to test, it can be launched by a LMS and you can monitor the API calls from that SCO to the LMS. Instructions on how to do that are included.

(Pops up another window) You can launch the test wrapper by itself as a test harness, either on a Web site or directly through the file system, then specify the URL of the SCO to load. Or you can launch it with the URL of a SCO as a parameter (as in the illustration above). Or you can launch it in a LMS instead of the SCO, and specify the SCO's URL in the launch URL for the wrapper. Because of browser security rules, the wrapper and the SCO that is being launched in the wrapper must come from the same server. |

Compatibility A SCO is defined as any launchable resource in a SCORM package, for which the adlcp:scormtype value is "SCO".
